Interesting.

Yesterday morning, out of nowhere, I started humming the opening of "Pictures of Matchstick Man". Earworm firmly planted, I took out Camper Van Beethoven's Key Lime Pie to play on my drive to work.

Today comes news Camper Van Beethoven will release its first new album in 15 years, titled New Roman Times. (Oct. 15 release date.)

It sounds ambitious -- a rock opera. Channel it.

Even though Key Lime Pie is the only album I own of CVB, I just may have to pick this one up when it comes out.

Note to self: Relay how Mindy Smith and Camper Van Beethoven has me thinking about all the music I owned on cassette before I sold them all to Half-Price Books without cataloging any of it. Kind of like my VHS collection.

About this weblog

「作譜」 is pronounced "sakufu", and it means "log" or "work file" in Japanese. It's not the correct translation of "weblog", but it seems appropriate for this site.

This site started as a general dumping ground for external links, but these days, it's where I think about things related to the various technologies with which I work -- digital audio, web software engineering.
